Corban loves to think creatively with students and their families to explore a wide array of options and expand perspectives on what an ideal college experience could look like. She has worked in higher education for over 17 years, in both public and private 4-year institutions, and is currently a full-time academic advisor at DePaul University. In addition, Corban is actively involved in state and national professional organizations, connecting her to many professionals in higher education across the country. She has won numerous local, state and national-level awards, including the National Academic Advising Association’s Outstanding New Advisor award. Corban earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in foreign languages & international trade and minors in East Asian civilization, Japanese and Spanish from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). She also earned a Master of Science in Education degree in higher education/college student personnel (SIUC) and a Master of Education degree in world language education (DePaul University). Corban is currently working on a doctorate in educational leadership at DePaul. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her three children, gardening and being active outdoors.
